Pennsylvania police officers stopped a home burglary in progress Wednesday, and body camera footage captured the suspect being, er, captured.
The incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. when Abington Township responded to a report of a man breaking into a house, WPVI-TV reports. When officers reached the scene, the suspect was still inside the home, and police surrounded the residence.
As the suspect exits the home, the body camera footage shows officers rushing to apprehend the man, who tries to flee on foot.
"Fortunately, when we took him into custody, the officers discovered that he was in possession of stolen jewelry from the house," Deputy Chief Ed Quinn told WPVI. "And I'd just like to take a second to point out how useful it is to that person who called 911 and to thank them for making that call, for being vigilant."
The suspect is charged with burglary and other counts.
